When a Publishing Account Problem Becomes More Than Customer Service

Account termination, withheld royalties, unexplained account actions, and repeated form responses can leave an author unsure what to do next. Account & Royalty Assistance helps you organize what happened, preserve the record, and prepare a documented path forward.

We are not a law firm and do not provide legal representation. We provide practical administrative, research, documentation, and communications assistance so that you can present your own situation clearly and consistently.

We Help You Build the Record

We help identify, gather, organize and preserve the material that may matter to your case: platform emails and correspondence, account notices, royalty and payment records, tax documents such as 1099s where relevant, screenshots of your account, book and publishing records, previous support contacts, and relevant publicly available information.

Those materials become an organized case file and timeline, rather than a collection of emails and screenshots scattered across different places.

We Help Prepare the Next Steps

Depending on the circumstances, those steps may include further correspondence with the publisher or platform, executive/customer-relations escalation such as ECR, a BBB complaint, consumer-protection complaints such as the FTC in the United States or appropriate equivalents in other countries, and complaints to a state Attorney General or an appropriate provincial, regional, or national consumer authority.

You Remain in Control

Some communications must come directly from the email address associated with your publishing account, or may require you to log into your own account. We can prepare those communications for you to review and send.

For other communications and administrative submissions, we can help prepare them, and where appropriate and authorized, assist with submission—or you can choose to handle the submissions yourself.

That is an important distinction. I would never ask for their Amazon/KDP password. If something requires authenticated access, the author does that portion.
